Since we started For Bloggers By Bloggers back in October 2010, we’ve always had one simple goal in mind – to help you make your blog the best it can be.
We know the difficulties blogging can throw at you – where to find the time, ideas, how to stay consistent, how to keep going when all you feel you should do is quit.
We also know the solitude that many bloggers feel – even multi-author blogs like this one is made up of remote authors, and our only contact with each other so far is via technology as opposed to face-to-face.
It’s why we look to post daily updates on different topics; why we have core authors that have very different strengths and skill sets when it comes to blogging; and why our guest writers are always vetted before they appear, to ensure only the best advice is reaching you.
So, as we approach 2013, we want to make sure that this continues and that you feel you’re getting as much value as possible from our little resource centre here. Here’s what we have planned.
A Dedicated FBBB Forum
We’ve thrown this idea around a few times, but never taken it further than a discussion between the core authors. However, as we look to provide even more ways for you to improve your blog, it makes sense to expand where and how you can do that.
So, look out for a dedicated community forum here on the site early 2013. We have some ideas on what shape this will take, but we’d love to hear your suggestions in the comments.
More Education Videos and Content
When we launched our 30 Day WordPress Workout video tutorial series, the impact was instant. Clearly, people were looking for this type of video series, and we’ve seen some great results from new bloggers because of it.
So we’ll be looking to offer more content like this – again, let us know in the comments some of the things you’d like to see covered by a course like this.
Even More Guest Writers
We’ve definitely been blessed by having some great guest writers contribute here to complement the core author team, and this will expand even more as we move into the next year and beyond.
One of the ideas we’re throwing around is to have a core author post in the morning, and then a guest author post in the late afternoon of that day. Would that be something you’re interested in? If so, how would you like to digest that extra content – as part of the normal subscription, or as a weekly digest? Let us know in the comments!
